bittersweet thoughts.

People often think i post a lot on facebook or instagram. some think i post a lot about Jordan, which is true to an extent. I also post about my family too. some think i make life look so good all the time.

to be honest, life isn’t always perfect. in fact, this last week was so rough in a few ways.

but i can’t let that take away my joy. an old friend of mine did a painting for me one time and it had a verse from John on it. it said, “So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one can take your joy from you.”

Life isn’t always easy, but that doesn’t mean i can’t post about what is going on in my life. for a while i kept feeling like people were getting upset that i was posting too much and stuff.

and then a friend spoke words into me that will forever be in my heart. she said that God wants us to share the good news and the things He is doing in us. Don’t let people stop you. You are speaking the truth of Jesus. He has blessed you with Jordan and you are called to share the great things He is doing you so that others may see how great our God is.

today was an incredible day and I have felt so blessed today with how much He has provided for me. I want nothing more than to encourage others to trust in HIM and He will provide. God is so so good!!!!! We must proclaim His word to all the nations and spread HIS love!!!

the last few days have been so wonderful.

thursday momma and i went to a Third Day concert together to relive our concert groupie days and spend some mother daughter time together.

last night some friends came over and the 5 of us cooked a meal together and had great conversation. i think it is safe to say our hearts and stomachs were so full at the end of the night.

today is gonna be great too.

this morning i am going to a mothers day brunch for Jordan’s family. his mom has been like a second mother to me, and all the rest of the women in his family have been such an incredible blessing to me. i cannot wait to be around that table today.

after that we are going straight to a wedding, the wedding of ms. nikolena parker and mr. rudi van vuuren. so excited to celebrate my dear friend nikki’s wedding to her missionary hubby!! it is going to be a great reunion with some old friends who i hold dear to my heart, and to celebrate the beauty of love. each wedding we go to reminds me that i am so thankful to have found the one my soul longs for. i cannot wait for the day when i see my man at the other end of the aisle. love is beautiful when God is at the center.

so much to be thankful for and so much to celebrate and thank God for.

so thankful. my heart is full.

today my dad and i went on our first motorcycle ride of the summer.

we ding dong ditched a few friends houses and drove around with the sun on our faces and the wind blowing through our hair.

i am so excited for more rides this summer. my dad and i are going to make up a list of things to do on all the rides we are going to go on. i cannot wait for us to cross each one off our list.
